Biography

Shereen M. Marcus

Shereen M. Marcus is a wife, mother of two boys, and works full time as a Veterans Law Judge (VLJ) for the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. She earned her JD from George Washington University. Her legal career spans nearly two decades, to include government contracts, commercial litigation, veterans law, appellate litigation, and, now, as a Veterans Law Judge. Concurrently, she has been an advocate for reforming youth ministry in Orthodox churches in North America for many years. Starting off with a few ideas, some writing ability, and a knack for kid silliness, Shereen did independent research into various youth ministry efforts and methodologies while writing youth Christian education materials for her local parish. She furthered her work by completing a Master’s degree in Orthodox Theology from the Antiochian House of Studies in conjunction with the University of Balamand in Lebanon. From there, she took her materials to a bigger platform by launching Bridges to Orthodoxy in January 2020. She continues to write Christian education materials and lecture on youth ministry efforts and methodologies. You can find her work on Christian education at www.bridgestoorthodoxy.com.
