Incartional Exodus
My American Flight to Egypt by Thilo Young is a real and engaging story about a couple’s pursuit of God. Maintaining their roots at the forefront of consideration, they recount how God has revealed Himself in their lives and took them by the hand to lead them into the Orthodox faith of Egypt. They colorfully illustrate their experiences and the ramifications of their conversion while suggesting a fair and critical analysis of themselves and their churches.
For Us in Himself
Rev. Fr. Mark Aziz gleans the lofty and prolific collection of writings penned by St. Cyril, the 24th Patristic of Alexandria, to present this patristic devotional for every believer. The work serves as a reminder to the believer that each person occupies a unique place in the grand design, the narrative written and triumphed by the Holy Trinity through their experience of the Incarnate Word of God.
Unveiling Coptic Liturgy
This exploration is an initial attempt to shed light on the mutual interaction between Coptic and Jewish traditions by demonstrating a Jewish impact on the early stages of the Alexandrian Church, as seen in the Coptic Morning Service. It explores the possible influence of Jewish liturgies and prayers, including the writings of the late Second Temple era (200 BCE – 70 CE), on some of the origins of fundamental Coptic rituals. The Coptic Morning Service holds almost identical text and order of prayers, along with many major Jewish thematic interrelations.
